The Cyber Scheme are Award Partners with The National Cyber Awards, helping to recognise and reward excellence in technical cyber security services.
The Cyber Scheme have developed the following categories within the Cyber industry category:
SME Consultancy of the Year
MSP of the Year
Enterprise Consultancy of the Year.
We have curated eligibility criteria which provides clear guidance for organisations wishing to enter these categories. The Cyber Scheme will not have any involvement in the shortlisting or judging of these categories.
We aim to encourage organisations which focus on security testing services but also those who provide a holistic and general consultancy service, regardless of their size or turnover. Organisations which have been in business for a minimum number of years will be eligible, to distinguish their efforts from those of start-ups who will be able to enter elsewhere. Similarly, we will create a recognisable distinction between the selling of services and of products, further encouraging organisations who may not have recognised a suitable category in previous years to enter in 2025.
The National Cyber Awards lead the way in ethical and transparent judging and recognition and we’re really looking forward to working closely with the team over the coming months.

“We have previously been engaged with the National Cyber Awards both as finalists and as judges, but this increased level of partnership allows us to support the technical, offensive cyber security community in creating new categories specifically for them. I’m really looking forward to working with Elle and Fergus as we create an environment that accurately reflects the changing landscape of cyber security services in the UK”. Debi McCormack, The Cyber Scheme
Providing Experienced Judges
In addition to our involvement in the curation of the three technical categories, our CEO Charles White and our Communications Director Debi McCormack have been asked to judge categories focusing on cyber education and training. We will be encouraging everyone who is invested in the fields of academic, vocational, and/or transitional training in all areas of cyber security, from staff training to individual upskilling, to apply.
Charles White is the Chief Executive Officer of The Cyber Scheme. He is committed to developing and enhancing the cyber security industry, supporting talent looking to gain a foothold, professionalisation of the industry aligned with the UK Cyber Security Council and government objectives, and collaborating with core stakeholders including CiiSEC, NCSC, and DSIT to develop the UK as the safest place for companies large and small to do business online.
A compelling speaker, Charles can articulate the issue that large enterprises encounter as they deal with the economic cost of both embracing and ignoring cyber risks. As a fellow of The Chartered Institute for Cyber Security (CiiSEC) Charles has presented to many PLC boards, agencies, venture capital and investment firms and is at ease with positioning cyber within the context of business operations and corporate risk.
