Red Team Manager

A Red Team Manager (RTM) is Responsible and Accountable for the planning, team selection, tasking, risk analysis/ management and overall quality assurance of engagement report(s).
The RTM monitors and evaluates any technical and human risks through the task’s lifecycle.
An RTM (on behalf of their employer) is responsible for ensuring that all activity undertaken meets the scope set by the client, and or, negotiates changes to that scope based on issues identified during an engagement. Where an RTM is an employee of a business working with a consultancy, they have additional responsibility for clarity around potential commercial/organisational business impact risks of the test.
A Red Team manager has responsibility of ensuring formal RACI principles are in place between the team and the client and any other 3rd party suppliers (e.g. Threat Intelligence suppliers), documented, maintained and updated during the Red Team engagement.
