Working Together – CIISEC and The Cyber Scheme.
The Cyber Scheme and CIISEC have a longstanding relationship based on a common objective of developing and enhancing the communications between the buying community and the sellers of offensive cyber security services.
This relationship has further developed since both organisations became the inaugural Licensed Bodies of the UK Cyber Security Council in 2023, working together on ensuring standards are maintained and applicants are supported fully on their journey to Chartered status.
The Cyber Scheme have now formed a Strategic Alliance with CIISEC, allowing us to work together more pro-actively on the issues that matter to our communities, and creating a conduit through which they can communicate, objectively and in a non-sales environment. We have the joint aim of fostering greater understanding and collaboration on the technical innovations being developed by our sponsor organisations, and the commercial imperatives of getting the job done right, appropriately and by trusted professionals.
CIISec’s aim is to attract talent to the cybersecurity profession and provide a universally accepted focal point for the information cybersecurity profession. It is an independent not-for-profit body representing over 35,000 individuals in the information and cybersecurity industry. Governed by its members, it ensures standards of professionalism for training, qualifications, operating practices and individuals.
CIISec has developed programmes that support Development, Recognition and Success:
- Development – CIISec is the place to go for cyber professional development and ethical practice.
- Recognition – CIISec provides an authoritative voice for the cyber industry and recognition of excellence in practice.
- Success – CIISec helps individuals and businesses succeed securely in the digital world.
As a Licensed Body for the UK Cyber Security Council, CIISec are able to assess and recommend the registration of individuals for three specialisms:
Bringing the buying and selling communities together
The Cyber Scheme is committed to working with stakeholders to bring much needed services into the market; obtaining input and direction from the buying community is core to us developing the services and standards the buyers wish to see.
One of the first decisions we made upon creation of the partnership, was to introduce The Cyber Scheme’s technical audience to CIISEC LIVE, CIISec’s well established and well-regarded flagship event which features interactive delegate-driven discussions, insights into future directions within industry and valuable networking opportunities. We participated in 2024’s event, contributing speakers and moderators and inviting our Sponsor community to attend. We are continuing and expanding our involvement in 2025 and will be publishing details through the year, up until the event on November 25 2025.
