The Cyber Scheme seeks to work with academic partners to have its courses recognised in line with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

The University of Gloucestershire (UoG) currently recognises the Cyber Scheme Team Member (CSTM) course as meeting their accreditation at level 7 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).  Professionals holding this qualification would be granted Accreditation for Prior Learning at this level on an appropriate MSc programme.  UoG is currently undertaking a review of its level 7 provision with a view to offering a specialist security programme
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cyber Scheme and its training provider IRM to enable our cyber security and cyber forensics students to be certified under the CSTM and Cyber Scheme. The training is embedded within the curriculum and students who pass the CSTM examination are awarded credits towards their degree programme. “
