Charles White, Managing Director
Charles White is the founding Director of The Cyber Scheme, established and contracted to NCSC in 2013 as an alternative examinations scheme. Charles was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of Information Risk Management (IRM) sold to Altran SA in 2017. His primary expertise lies in corporate strategy, transformation, and cyber risk management. Charles was instrumental in forging close ties between IRM and the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC.
Charles formerly worked within the telecoms market specifically in voice and data integration at Future Telecom, a company he listed on the London AIM market in 1996.
Andy Jones, Director
Andy brings 37 years’ experience in Central Government, International Government and commercial experience delivering a wide range of delivery roles covering Cyber Security, technical operations, crisis management and complex project and program delivery.
He worked for Information Risk Management Ltd (part of the Altran Group then Capgemini Group) as head of Capability, Strategy and Training up to the end of January 2022.
Sean McCormack, Operations Director
Sean has 28 years experience in various Operations/Project/Programme roles. He has spent the last 7 years working at Information Risk Management (IRM) part of Capgemini, most recently as Head of Programmes.
Sean’s international experience includes stints in France (Leroy Somer in Angouleme), Australia (BT in Sydney and AT&T in Melbourne) and the USA (CMD in Atlanta).
Sean is a strong advocate of being pragmatic and using processes to help move Operational activities forward, believing the desired outcome should drive the level of procedural effort.
Paul Richards, Lead Assessor & Learning and Development Manager
Paul is a subject matter expert in ethical hacking and penetration testing. Starting off in the software development industry and the technical support industry gave Paul the insight to move to into cyber as a career. During a short time in the world of education, Paul studied to become a fully qualified teacher and taught in the education sector.
Now dedicated to helping others achieve and strive in cyber security through training, mentoring and the highest standard of assessment with the Cyber Scheme.
Richard Jarvis, Head of Finance
Richard is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has over forty years’ experience in financial operations and management across a diverse range of business sectors. These included ten years as the CFO at Information Risk Management Limited where he was strategically key in the successful sale of the company to Altran in 2017.
Prior to this he worked for 10 years as Chief Information Officer for the European DAS Network and the Global Treasury function of the Omnicom Group (A NYSE quoted company). Richard trained at KPMG and worked in audit, corporate recovery prior to becoming a principal consultant within their management consultancy practice.
Debi McCormack, Sales & Marketing Director
Debi’s background in advertising and direct marketing has helped to form the creative and strategic direction of clients as diverse as auto (Volvo), pharma (Astra Zeneca), FMCG (Nestle Rowntree) subscription retail (Boxcitement) and now cyber security.
Having worked as an award-winning creative director in Australia for 12 years, for the Bates Dorland and Euro RSCG advertising groups, Debi is now back in her home town of Cheltenham, the centre of cyber in the UK, helping to grow awareness of and engagement with The Cyber Scheme, expand training provision and simplify routes into a career in cyber for new entrants, career transitioners and upskillers.
Ella Chamberlain, Marketing Executive
Ella works within our marketing and comms team, as well as heading up the bookings side of The Cyber Scheme. Her background is varied and includes a Psychology degree as well as 4 years working as a chef, including the managing of several kitchens throughout Cheltenham.
She is dedicated to bringing an approachable and efficient experience to our customers, and is excited to be involved with The Cyber Scheme’s message of making the cyber industry a more accessible place.
Emily Kinsella, Marketing Executive
Emily is a recent graduate with a master’s degree in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management from Cardiff University. She has a varied background with a degree in International Journalism and has spent time as an English teacher in Thailand.
Whilst new to the industry, Emily is excited by this new challenge and looks forward to working towards The Cyber Scheme’s goal of encouraging new levels of diversity in cyber.
